The Bible doesn't specify how far the Three Kings (or Magi) traveled to reach baby Jesus. It only mentions they came "from the east" (Matthew 2:1-12).
Scholars have speculated on possible origins, including:
* Babylonia/Persia (modern-day Iraq/Iran): This is a common theory, given the Magi's association with astrology, which was highly developed in that region. This would mean a journey of hundreds to over a thousand miles.
* Arabia: Some suggest they came from the Arabian Peninsula, based on the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This could be a journey of several hundred miles.
Essentially, we don't know the exact distance. It could have been a relatively short trip or a very long and arduous one.
