The Bible does
not say not to use anything man-made. In fact, the Bible describes the use of many man-made items and skills.
Here's why:
* Creation Mandate: Genesis 1:28 instructs humankind to "fill the earth and subdue it," implying the use of our abilities to develop and manage resources.
* Craftsmanship and Construction: The Bible details the construction of the Ark (Genesis 6), the Tabernacle (Exodus 25-31), and the Temple (1 Kings 6-7), all of which involved skilled artisans using tools and materials.
* Everyday Objects: People in biblical times used tools, clothing, homes, transportation (chariots, boats), and other man-made items. The Bible doesn't condemn these things; it simply portrays them as part of life.
It's important to differentiate between using man-made things and worshipping them or placing too much importance on them. The Bible cautions against idolatry and materialism, but not against the use of human ingenuity.
