The Bible does not record God telling King Solomon to *never* build a temple again. In fact, the opposite is implied. God accepts the first temple Solomon builds and makes a covenant with him regarding it.
Here's what the Bible does say about God and Solomon's temple:
* 1 Kings 6-8 and 2 Chronicles 2-7 detail the building of the first temple. God approves of Solomon's dedication of the temple.
* 1 Kings 9:1-9 and 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 describe God's covenant with Solomon after the temple is built. God says that if Solomon and his descendants remain faithful, the temple will be a place where God will hear their prayers. However, God also warns that if they turn away from Him and worship other gods, the temple will be destroyed and the people will be exiled.
There is no prohibition on building *another* temple in the future within the text. The promise and the warning are contingent on Solomon's and his descendants' obedience.
Therefore, there is nothing in the biblical text to indicate God forbade Solomon from building any future temples; rather, God establishes a relationship with Solomon and his descendants in connection with the temple he builds.
